This year’s event is gearing up to be possibly the best one yet. Get out your best Hawaiian shirt or dress, sandals and sunglasses and head over to the Westside of San Juan Island to the McDowell Estate for another great evening of fabulous food, spirits, entertainment and fundraising.
‘Luau on the Lawn’ will host approximately 250 guests and will be featuring a Polynesian dinner, silent and live auctions, canines in beach wear, and a fantastic exhibition by TE FARE O TAMATOA: an authentic Tahitian Dance and Drumming Troup from Seattle. And as usual, there’s a chance of sighting a celebrity or two! There might even be time for some lawn chair volleyball and hula dancing!
The WAGS committee is currently accepting donations for both the silent and live auctions. Some of the great live auction items received include original artwork by Jaime Ellsworth, 2 VIP tickets to the Steve Miller Concert w/ first class accommodations at the Willows Lodge, Two (2) Seahawk/Cardinal Tickets with accommodations in Phoenix, A Steak & Crab feed for 12, a Maui Getaway for 2 w/ airfare, and many more items to come.
It’s going to be a great night of entertainment and most important, fundraising for the New Home – New Hope Capital Campaign to build our much needed new animal shelter. We are getting closer to reaching our goal, and we need our community’s help now more than ever to making this project a reality. This is your chance to be a part of something special and have a lot of fun doing it!
