Greetings my name is Patrick, a once a shy sweet island stray who has traded in my independence for an amazing fireplace along with laps and luxury.
How I showed up at the animal shelter is a little fuzzy, but for almost 8 years I lived in the woods surrounding the shelter, only coming in the evenings to eat. Shelter staff gradually made friends with me over the years and eventually I allowed them to pet my head and sit with me while I ate. One very cold winter day, I decided it was safe to venture inside the shelter and after a few days of coming and going, I decided I much preferred living indoors as opposed to braving the elements and I became the “Grand Gentleman of Kamp Kitty”. A kind family from Bellingham fell in love with Pat during a visit to Friday Harbor and as you can see by the photo, he now lives in the lap of luxury and is a cherished family member.
