It’s a well-known fact that folks here on San Juan Island love their dogs. This week marked over 1000 miles walked over the last six months by island residents and their dogs using a smart phone application called, Wooftrax; every mile walked raising money for The Animal Protection Society of Friday Harbor.

The Friday Harbor Animal Protection Society, is a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization. We are proud to serve the people and animals of San Juan Island with a variety of programs including adoptions, low income spay/neuter vouchers, dog licensing and humane education for children of all ages. Building a community of compassion is our goal – through adoption of homeless pets, humane education, abuse investigation, and community outreach and leadership.
